Registration

We are thrilled to announce that registration for the highly anticipated 2024 Annual Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction for Work (CHIWORK) is now officially open! As a leading international platform for researchers in the field of human-computer interaction in work, CHIWORK 2024 promises to be an exceptional event filled with insightful presentations, interactive workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.

CHIWORK 2024 will bring together distinguished researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from around the globe to explore the latest advancements, trends, and challenges in the domain of human-computer interaction for work. With a rich program featuring keynote speeches, conversations and paper presentations, this conference will provide a unique opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations.

The program of CHIWORK 2024 will be offering a wide range of formats:

  • Student Consortium, Tuesday June 25th, 2024 – morning: The Student Consortium Day will allow students to present their ongoing work and discuss it with other students and seniors in the field. There is an option during registration to attend only this event.
  • Main Conference Days, Tuesday to Thursday, June 25th and June 27th, 2023: The main conference will take place on Tuesday afternoon from 1pm and will end around 4:30pm on Thursday. The program will offer a keynote, the full paper presentations, a conversation track, as well as posters and demos.

We offer two modes of attendance: in-person and remote.

In-person Participation

The registration fee for in-person attendance will cover the conference participation, basic food and beverages in the breaks and the social event. We also want to ensure that in-person participants can engage with online attendees. Please see our plans for a hybrid experience.

Online Participation

We will offer online participation in the main presentation sessions and poster sessions. Our aim is to make the experience synchronous and facilitate interactions between online and in-person attendees. We will also offer digital chat and meeting rooms in which the participants can share part of the conference experience.
For those attending online, we want you to feel part of the conference as much as possible.

Publication fee

All full papers (regardless of mode of attendance) need to have one author to cover the publication fee of £100 for the paper. Please discuss among your co-authors who will pay for this. Full papers will appear in the ACM DL and the publication fee is to cover these costs (Please note that ACM Open does not apply for CHIWORK 2024).

Travel support

If you need support with travel costs, you can apply for the Gary Marsden Travel fund. Please note that the next deadline relevant for CHIWORK is 9th May 2024.
